Very excited to get back into the convention circuit this year! Here's what I'm fully confirmed for in terms of markets, conventions, and other misc. artist alleys. If you're not familiar with my work, I set up little table booths to sell my artwork all over Canada the the US about 15-20 times per year and that's one of the ways I work independently as an artist!

When I'm not doing conventions, then I open up my Etsy store and sell art there.

Let me know if I'll be seeing any of you at these~! It's always nice to meet fellow NG users.

Hope to see some of you in the coming months!

I opened up my Etsy store today! I've been very busy over the winter learning all kinds of new print media and now you can purchase some of it!

My shop only opens for a week or two semi-annually, since I do a lot of comic cons / artist alleys / markets in person. Everything that you'd see at my booth is pretty much up on Etsy though, so if you've been eye-ing anything like my knife crow pins, holographic stickers, or monster girl art prints, I'm posting all of that!

Orders ship from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Pls be patient if your order will be leaving the country.

Thanks for all the support, guys! <3

Some of the pins I have for sale:

The other silkscreen tote bag design (can you tell I like birds and caffeine?):

Some lil stabby boys as holographic stickers (waterproof):

Here's my upcoming list of conventions for this year! Feel free to drop me a comment if you're planning to attend any of these. I'll update the list as the months progress since I'm hoping to get into a couple more before the spring.

UPDATE: Pre-orders for my new #duckiedress just wrapped on Etsy!

The shop will re-open some time before the Christmas holiday. Thank you for your support!! With everyone's help, I was able to use the sale proceeds to fund just over 30 extra dresses! <3

I'm stoked. this is my FIRST APPAREL launch, Y'ALL!

Grab one for yourself, or your favourite femme before September 20, 2022 (when my shop closes).

Delivery estimated for late November 2022

65$ Canadian, sizes XS-5XL (fits one size up from your usual T-shirt size)

[Duckie Dress Pre-Order Link]

Since these are pre-orders, (or if you're new to pre-ordering from artists in general) this means your specially ordered dress doesn't actually exist yet. By ordering these now and paying in advance, you're helping me roll the proceeds from this sale right back into ordering MORE dresses in one big bulk wholesale order to re-sell at conventions! <:

Most independent artists like me can't really afford to order like 100 dresses of different sizes up-front ($$$$), so this approach for merchandise really helps take the financial pressure off.

Thank you for considering that!

If the sale goes well, I'll look at expanding to other patterns + clothing options. <3

Thanks for reading, everybody! <3

I just realized I've been selling my art at comic cons and artist alleys for more than 10 years!

Here's what my first tables looked like in 2013... (note the hand cut PVC pipe construction from home depot)

The overall look of my art has changed so drastically since then!

I started with nothing but a binder full of prints, posters, buttons, and MAYBE stickers back then. (Everybody has to start somewhere!)

And here's one of my more recent Artist Alley tables from 2022~!

Over 100 shows later, I'm still learning to this day. My merchandise has expanded to include things like tote bags, coasters, and enamel pins.... And I've travelled all over Canada and the US independently!

Why am I sharing this?

I actually owe a lot of my start to folks here on Newgrounds! (Hi, Tom!) The community here has been with me since the very beginning (I joined for the Art Portal back in 2009, got scouted by Mindchamber/Jose who was NG staff at the time,) and started tabling in 2011). Ever since I visited Newgrounds HQ to meet other artists at one of the Pico Day meetups, I've seen first-hand that being an independent artist is a perfectly attainable, possible career path, and the talented folks already doing it full-time gave me the courage to try and do it myself! It's a slow, difficult, steady grind, (of course) and the income is extremely unpredictable, but I love everything about it.

If anybody here is thinking about doing their first artist alley tables, I'm an open book! Hit me up with artist alley specific / questions anytime.

Just wanted to share and celebrate the progress.

Thanks for reading! <3

Hey all! I managed to get a Pro Plaza table at Anime North in Toronto this weekend! Come stop by if you're in the area!

The show goes July 15-17 and Anime Conventions are awesome places to encounter other artists / creatives.

Tickets are about 45$ per day, and the weekend pass is $70.

Here's an older artist alley table with some of my usual stuff for sale. I won't bring any fan art to this show, though; because Pro Plaza is specifically original art only.

Hey all! I'm having a short little Etsy art sale until June 30th!

If you've ever been interested in owning / supporting my art, now's your chance! <3

Shipping is FREE worldwide, but tracking is not included to help keep costs low.

Thanks all~!

Hey Newgrounds! It's been a hot minute!

Hope you've all been safe + healthy!

I'm happy to announce that I'm finally back to my primary artist job of travelling to comic cons and artist alleys since the pandemic started. Feels really nice to be getting back to work after so long.. although international flights are still a little stressful.

Here's what my shared table from Otakon (in DC) looked like! I went for the first time with my talented friend Melora! (above)

Personal projects that got shelved for the pandemic are finally getting dusted off again, so I'm getting back to work designing new stickers, enamel pins, and that goofy 'Bird Crimes' Zine from a thousand years ago. Of course, I'll be posting all of that stuff here, so stay tuned! Already posted 1 or 2 new things in my gallery!

Here are the next few conventions I'm hoping to go to, in case they're anywhere near you! :)

Anyone planning to go to any of these?

  • Dec 10-12 - C2E2 (Chicago, IL)
  • Jan 6-9 - MAGfest (National Harbor, MD)
  • Jan 14-15 - A Taste of Animethon (Edmonton, AB)
  • Feb 19-21 - Vancouver Fan Expo (Vancouver, BC)
  • Mar 18-20 - Toronto ComicCon (Toronto, ON)
  • April 2-3 - Geeky Spring Market (Edmonton, AB)
  • April 15-17 - Sakuracon (Seattle, WA) <--just going for fun with friends
  • April 21-24 - Calgary Expo 2022 (Calgary, AB)
  • May 20-22 - Otafest (Calgary, AB)
  • June 17-19 - YetiCon (Blue Mountain Resort, Ontario, Canada)
  • July 29-31 - AniRevo (Vancouver, BC)
  • August 25-27 - Fan Expo Canada (Toronto, ON)

If conventions and big crowds aren't exactly appealing to you; totally understandable. It's kind of a lot right now, and I think a lot of folks are taking a break from large gatherings until things calm down a bit more. That said, I promise I'll always take everyone's safety seriously and mask up + provide sanitizer at my table, if you ever come out to see me! :)

I should ALSO mention something kind of new I don't think I've ever mentioned on Newgrounds before;

I made a private Discord Server! 🎨 🐔

It's a small artist community, and we're a really active little cluster of ~150 creative people. It's called The Birdhouse!

[It costs 1$ to join, through Patreon], and you can stay in, even after your pledge cancels / ends!

Here's our September calendar: we're planning a bunch of Drink and Draw events on Saturday nights, and we usually do the odd drawpile, D&D session, or game night in between!

ANYWAY; that's about it!

Take care, everybody!

Hi everybody! It's been a hot minute, but I've just re-opened my Etsy shop for a cute lil' virtual Anime Convention called Otafest Online! :)

Here's where you can find my Etsy Store, if you enjoy my work. The convention made a cute little interactive artist alley map to simulate browsing an artist alley / vendor hall, too! I'm so happy to have something like this again after all the shut-downs from the pandemic. You can view their vendor map with artist store links here: https://otafest.com/vendors/

Here are some of the things in my shop!

Sticky Notes ft. Sheriff Duck:

Large Canvas Totes ft. My Bird Designs:

Skateboarding Duckling / "Extreme Babies" print set:

And the long-time favourite, enamel pins!

Thanks for visiting, and have a great weekend! <3
