Razorfacepirate. *thumbs up*

ZANKS HUN!

Nice work!
You've got a knack for drawing wrinkles on clothing. :)
Overall, I think the only thing that stands out as a bit off would be the proportions in his arms. The wrists and shoulders in particular could be adjusted, as well as the thickness of his neck. All in all, it's not overly distracting -- good job! c:

jennyleigh responds:

Thank you so much! :D I agree with his wrists they look squiggley so to speak lolol. And do you think his neck is too thin? And do you think the shoulders are too small or too big? lolol :) And you really think the wrinkles are good? I was winging it lolol. Tried my hardest while looking at some references online. I guess what they say is true that the artist themselves are the harshest critic because i thought the wrinkles weren't that great! haha :D Thanks for commenting!

HHNNNNG this is seriously so inspiring to me, you have no idea.

I'm totally stealing this idea and putting my own spin on it one'a these days, if that's okay.
Awesome work!!

Bassomen responds:

This actually makes me SUPER happy! I'm totally stoked you liked it! You have my permission (ha, like you needed it! :D ) to use this in any way you want!

YOU ARE MY CANADIAN DOPPELGANGER <3

I'm lovin' your use of marks and texture here - everywhere I look there's a new pattern hiding that looks nicer than the last.

Awesome job! Would love to see you exercise this texture-rich style in other upcoming work.
Also, featured you on the Art Portal twitter page. :3

Carrion responds:

Thank you so much! I do love myself some texture.

Sweet, reminds me of that big forest spirit thing in Princess Mononoke. Was that part of the inspiration?

Nice work - that added detail in the bottom right really balances out the composition.

Sherbalex responds:

no ive never seen that

Eeeeeeee They're so cute! :D
I love this!

Damn, man, you work fast! You're just crankin' out one detailed piece after another!
...Have you ever done a comic con or an expo artist alley before? You'd make a killing!

GentlemanTrooper responds:

Thank you! I put in overtime on this one. :3

I never have had a table at a con. I've helped out at tables before but I've never had my own. I would certainly like to though. :D

Looks awesome!
What kind of markers did you use to colour this?

doublemaximus responds:

Thanks! And I used copic markers!

Amazing work...!
How big are these?? Your portraiture is damn-near photo realistic! D:
I can't even tell if this was drawn digitally or traditionally...!

You're makin' me jelly! o:

TheLoyalMeat responds:

Thank you it's greatly appreciated :), they're usually done on an A4 document though i change it from time to time, this was my first realism piece cause i usually only do line art, it's all digital :) took me 6 hours i believe, really found my love of realism through making it though

Haha it's not that god :P
