Seriously though, everything from the palette to the model is fantastic in this piece. What kinds of brushes do you use for such seamless blending?

I only really used 3 brushes for this. One was a kind of medium/hard edged brush for the main forms. It had kind of a charcoal-ish texture which added to the skin 'look'. The other was the same but just a really soft brush to blend edges and get that smooth feel. I used a standard speckle brush for the hair to give me some individual strands but other than that, nothing special :).
