Please don't cry! Your wrinkles get harder to draw

Old people's skin is always a hoot to try and draw..
It's worse than trying to draw still-life fabrics!

You nailed it though - great work! C:
(as usual)

Abstract...

Well, it's abstract, and a little less detailed as the other background scenes you've done, but who am I to say it's not just as awesome! C:

Where the heck do you get your brushes?

Good God, how do you DO it?!

I'm at a total loss for words over how great this looks.
I almost get the feeling that i'm ACTUALLY up high looking down into the canopy.

In Awe.

Maaaannn!!
Bright Blues, Golden Yellows, Dark Reds, even hot Pink!! D:

You only used green for a tiny little shrub to the bottom-right!! I coudln't imagine trying to mash all of those colours so nicely as you've done into a forest background.

My favourite part of your technique is that you use more monochromatic colours to portray distance. <3

Awesome job! Your backgrounds are the best of the best! C:

(adds you to list of fav artists)

HAHAHA

That's classic, Mel.

"Oh there's a butt there. I better rate it 'M' so nobody gets offended!"

<did not 'get past that'>

lol Great work. I think the only reason I feel inclined to give this a 9 is the simplicity and lack of 'pop' from the wings blending a bit much. Other than that, it's great. :)

purefey responds:

apparently people think this is a useless review. Well I don't! And yeah I do notice that the background blends with the wings too much. :/

Honest to God --

When you showed me this, I was just kind of waiting for you to flip over to another picture and be like 'so THIS is what I drew of that guy!' I thought this was just an example you were showing me!

I hardly reacted to the pic because I couldn't even tell at first that you drew it!! lol
It's so out of your usual subject matter from what i've always seen.

So with that said, obviously I thought it was too good to be true. lol Great work.

purefey responds:

Thanks yooou! I sketched a lot of tiny creatures when I read this - I'm sure I have the paper somewhere. I love this comic because it has chars in it that I've never seen before or never thought of making up; for example, a creature had a plus sign on its nose, no arms, and it was called "bird" and sat on a swing. It's really cool!

B'AWWWW.

Something about eyes being as big as the character's torso is just so mind-bogglingly ADORRABLE. >xB

(first, bitches.)

WEEEEE <first>

BRUSH STAMPES EVERYWHURRRRR :V
I know it was probably intentional that she be tilted to the left slightly, but if I may be so humble, it may have looked a little less off-balance if she was standing straight up. C:

(just giving a good honest crit, seeing as I doubt you'll get many on here)

purefey responds:

Yeah, she was supposed to be leaning on her foot, but I could never get the legs right so I just cropped off the shot there. :3

FIRST! xB

This is still one'a my favourites - the simplicity and accuracy of your Wind Waker Link just makes it all work. C:

You're on NG too?! :D

Well howdy neighbor!!

Loved your entry - glad to have stumbled upon you on here! C:

Madame-origami responds:

Oh HEY!
Howdy indeed, and yep, all the cool kids have an NG l3 How could I resist~?

Thanks <3
