Pissed of Canadian:

I don't think the people pushing this bill forward have a clue about how much they're f**king with the world as a whole. I live in Canada and I'm just as pissed about this act (not to mention the Protect IP act). It's going to affect everyone, and they have no right to mess with something so global.

Anyone reading this, go look up SOPA videos on youtube. You can do something about it, even if you don't live in Texas, or the United States. If they get enough negative feedback from other countries around the world, maybe it could serve as a wake-up call.

Kudos for using your artistic ability to raise awareness about this issue, man. Nice work.
It's a powerful image.

Yay for going overboard...! Bet'cha you got an A!

Too cool..! I'm glad you mis-enterpreted the instructions for this one and ended up finishing the entire thing!! :P It looks great.

I especially love the character design on both the beast and scarecrow. The way that you emphasize the foreground using fog is awesome, too! Really makes the beast look more massive, because of the depth in the picture. How long did this take you, alltogether?

SpiderRat responds:

Thank you very much! I think I started this on Tuesday, worked on it for a couple days, then did little bits everyday until it was finished when I started to burn out.

Beautiful.

I love your use of lines to portray the movement of the wind in this one. The eye follows a nice semi-circle path, and seems to cool over the tundra-like plane as it twists counter-clockwise.

Btw, I just happened to drop by your page because you told me so on NG's frontpage. lol
I'm glad I did!

Awesome stuff..!

Nice work! What type of medium did you use for this? Looks like... acrylic?
We're doing colour theory in my intro level Art course right now, so I can really respect such a nice range of colour. They're so hard to mix precisely!! </3

I like how rather than just using a boring, solid black near the bottom half, you give it life and three-dimensional shape with some hints of blue...

Again, nice work! :)

Very nice.

This is too cool...!

The texture in this really makes it look like something that belongs on the back of a leather jacket or something. Great design!

Just out of curiosity, what type of filter did you use for the effect?

D'aw.

I'm loving the use of colour in this picture! Not everyone can pull off a pug painting with purples and blues..! Great work!

haeiofjaldnefk responds:

thank ye ma'am

Cool Beans!

Hey! Nice work, for several reasons:
1. You managed to make this using a mouse..!! I'd probably destroy my computer in frustration if I had to work with one these days. lol
2. This is your first major digital art submission..! You're a natural.
3. You seem to have a great sense of colour and value.
4. The composition is really nice - she's nicely framed and centered for our viewing pleasure. c:

If you're really in it for the criticism, I'd be happy to oblige! Just don't take anything I say too personally. I'm not some know-it-all artist who is aiming to sound condescending. It's all just personal opinion aimed at trying to help you. c:

1. She seems to be a little scrunched into the frame, as if you ran out of space to fit in the bottom half of her torso. It might just be the perspective, though. If you only look at the bottom half of her body, I get the feeling that you're looking down at her slightly, so her abs have been foreshortened.

2. Her breasts are a tad un-even, but it's not hugely noticeable.

3. Her left arm (the right one, from our pespective) seems to be attached to her body a with too wide of a shoulder. Her under-arm strikes me as extending downwards a little too much, and almost extends out of her breast.

4. You could add a little shading and highlights under her neck to accentuate her collar bone - in the picture here, she doesn't really have a collar bone.

5. The proportions on the face and head are nicely done. Her right hand (the one behind her head) seems to be a little off. Her wrist is a tad too thin, and you seem to be shying away from drawing her hands alltogehter.. Don't be afraid of hands! They're hard to draw, but you can really get crazy in nude pictures like these. Hands can be all kinds of suggestive.

AshGreat responds:

Thanks. I will make sure to take note of this in my new works.

Holy damn that's awesome.

Please forgive the fact that I'm writing this on a phone and I can't type or spell for shit with these things. It's also 3 in the morning.

Anyway...!

I'm really impressed by everything in your gallery! Nice work! I traced you back from a tweet you left me on twitter a while ago, solely because you struck me as the artsy type. I'm glad I did! You've got some really inspirational stuff.

Full scores from me! :)

Pegosho responds:

Thanks Sab! You are really talented I must say, you even own at pixel art, that's always a plus for me. :)

Btw, I'm not THAT artsy (at least i don't look like one.), I've just been learning about colors recently and I'm hooked! You should definitely try split complementary and double complementary, that's where the action is!........omg, I'm arsty! >_<

Keep rockin' Sab!

Fantastic. c:
