TEN OUDDA TEN

Seriously thank you so much for making this. I'm so honored and it completely caught me off guard! Your style of shading is really appealing - I think somebody already mentioned this, but your use of subtle light sources are just gorgeous. Keep up the great work!

Oh so this was you!
Love your style dude, it's so clean and crisp.

I saw this one up on Zone's tumblr - assumed he did it, but I'm pleasantly surprised to have stumbled upon your page instead! Followed and fav'd. :)

FuShark responds:

Thanks! I really dig your work as well so the follow is definitely mutual. :D

Heee hee - this is cute!

Bonus points for including a tiny NG sticker. Tom's gonna love that.

FuShark responds:

Thanks Sab! Thought the sticker would be a nice touch. :P

Hey cool, thanks for posting this! Looks great so far, especially with the incomplete eyes. Alice in Wonderland is such a dark coming of age story, it's almost fitting to leave her eyes blank like that for a creepy effect.

I'm teaching Art 10-12 this year and this looks like a really fun assignment. Could you go into detail about what you were being marked on and what the object of the project was? If not, no worries. Just curious since it looks fun!

GhoulKitten responds:

I thought the creepy blank eyes were nice too. I didn't wanna over-do the piece so I didn't color Alice, and I didn't do the rest of the background, so it's kinda like wherever she walks, she brings madness with her, idk.

And basically, what we had to do for this project was to use a grid or collage format to express texture, line, value, shape and balance, making any physical object of your choosing, for example, a dog, a person, a brick, anything... using grids or making a collage. I chose to use grids. And then I used, think it's called, pointillism, for Alice. I didn't want to loose her in all the craziness with the background.

Thanks for the comment, and good luck with your teaching. :D

She's beaauuuutifullll <3

VidGameDude responds:

Thanks sab, can't take majority of credit since original design was based on Circumsoldier's pixel art.
Hope you're doing well!
