So I finally got myself one of those new fangled Cintiq tablets...!! The 22HD one that swivels!
I saved for two years using money from the art commissions I did, so it's really gratifying knowing that 'my art' paid for something expensive that I really wanted. ^^ ...And the bamboo fun tablet that I got from Newgrounds in 2009 is serving a better purpose...! I've passed it down to my youngest sister who's drawing up a storm as we speak. :P

If you're into digital design/animation at all, you'll be drooling by the end of it -- these things are like the CADILLAC of tablets.

I'm finally selling some 'Sabtastic' originals, by the way...! If you're interested in buying some signed artwork prints from me, now's the time! It's super cheap, and all of the proceeds will be going towards my education / art supplies! There are stickers, buttons, posters, small card stock prints, and medium ones! ^^

Surprisingly these things are hardly selling at all...! I'm making more off of the art prints than I am the stickers. I figured it'd be the other way around because everyone loves internet memes, but I guess not. o_o

hows the cintiq feel? does it get warm when you have your hand on it btw? I used to use one at Spike and it would really heat up my forearm, im assuming theyve advanced since then.

It's so nice, man. I'm still in denial that it's here sitting on my desk. lol

I haven't really gotten the chance to sit down and use it for a long period of time yet, though.
The first time we used it and were messing around with the settings, it got kinda warm, but nothing unusual.

Two dollars for each sticker?? DAMN! Oh and congrats on the cintiq! It must feel really good that you can say you got that off of your art only :D I might get one like yours when/if I get a job as an animator. By that time those will be cheaper. :P

Haha - it may SEEM pricey, but they're great quality, (will last outdoors, even as a bumper sticker) and they costed me about a dollar EACH to make, so if I want to make any money on them, I have to up the price a little.

I got them all done professionally, so I sure as hell hope they look the part or those guys that took my money are in trouble! xD

If you ever have the excuse to have your stuff printed professionally, with a sales rep and designer and all that, I highly recommend it! I've never learned so much about design all in one sitting. They're super awesome and helpful. B:

Mel uses the same type of bamboo tablet that NG gave me - same size and everthing. :)
So now both of my sisters are working with the same equipment!

Aren't the Cintiqs just AWESOME!

They are the Apex of all Tablets! I have a 21UX. Not as intense in graphics but it gets the job done.
I'm still practicing with it, as I never really used tablets before. For years I drew on my labtop using only the touch pad. I hadn't held a pencil in almost two years.

Maybe next time, I'll save up for the "Cintiq Touch".
